"THE CITY OF LORD KRISHNA"

Once upon a time an ancient Indian legendary begins.........................

There was a fabulous city called "DWARAKA".The city was so wonderful and beautiful. The Hindu scriptures describe it as a "FAIRY TALE KINGDOM".

Dwaraka had 900,000 royal palaces, all constructed with "CRYSTALS and SILVER and pentious integrated with huge EMERALDS.The city was filled with birds and bees flying about the garden.Dwaraka is one among the four DIVYA DHAMAS,a devot Hindu should visit.

Whelming over this magical kingdom was the handsome, generous and much adored "KRISHNA",the HINDU GOD OF DEVOTION..

KRISHNA is God ,but he comes down to earth and takes the form of the human being..He falls in love,he plays his flute.he fights with darkness and demons. He gives good lessons to people.

One day Krishna was called upon a war..............the story is a kingdom claimed back.Krishna and his five friends against 100 evil persons and its source is "BIBLE IN HINDU WORLD-THE MAHABHARATA",one of India's most precious scripture.

The Mahabharata also tells of Krishna's end. This city "THE GOLDEN TEMPLE OF DWARAKA" swallowed by the sea and lost forever.

In the Mahabharata,Musala-parva,Arjuna describes the drowning of the following words,

"Gushing waves of the sea, suddenly stormed Dwaraka.water flashed into the streets, dashing beautiful buildings.Every mighty mansion of that wonderful city was razed to ground like a falling pack of cards, the devastation was total,i have seen with my eyes, the complete submergence of everything into the sea;Today Dwaraka exists only in name;as a sweet memory in our minds"

Until Now.......................................................

Excavations are the best source of INDIA,which has led through most amazing discoveries. As significant to Hindus,Dwaraka lying on the Western Coast of India of Arabian Sea is a fishing town.Owing to 53,000 people ,it says about the legendary magical kingdom described in hindu scriptures. The only similarity existing today are the thousands of pilgrims come here today to workship "LORD KRISHNA-THE HINDU GOD OF DEVOTION".

The recent archeologist discovery made proved that Dwaraka is the place where Krishna lived in the streets. The famous archeologist of INDIA "Dr.S.R.RAO" and his crew took a challenge to discover the submerged city.8 years ago they gone to the town of Dwaraka to excavate this temple. They came to remove the modern temple that existed there because it was obstructing the view of the temple.During their excavation they came upon an amazing discovery,an ancient temple lying intact just beneath the first one.there they started digging further deeper,in order to know if there existed any earlier temples.what they found was the temple one top on the next.

They found Shells and other Iron artifacts. There were belived to be remains of the city which was washed over by the sea.The story of Krishna ends with his kingdom, the city of Dwaraka sinking into the ocean. But finding the lost city of sea proved to be a challenge to RAO.The whole question was where to look for this submerged city of Dwaraka.!!!!!!!!!.RAO began randomly searching the coast of the modern day Dwaraka. At first, the crew with the divers went into the sea searching the remains of the city

RAO and his divers came upon a discovery even greater than they had imagined. On the 4th day of research, they found the blocks of stones used for construction 70 feet benath the waves. The remains were found to be in underwater.RAO then travelled to the shore which is 90 miles from the sea.On the Shore, after a long discovery ,they found a big fortification,a wall of 550m long.RAO's discovery became a lifelong mission.Over thenext 8 years his excavations were on the swollen city which deserved.

For the past two decades, the,GUJARAT,Government has been trying to establish the underwater museum, which enables the visitors to go into the sea and to get a glimpse of the city of LORD KRISHNA,who walked on this great land ages ago.
